OUR STAFF
The UCUC Preschool Director has a BS degree in Psychology and a MS degree in Child and Family Development. All of the Staff members are professionals with sound education in Child Development and are CPR & First Aid qualified. They remain current in all areas of child development by attending workshops and conferences, as well as maintaining membership in NAEYC and SDAEYC.

Jessica Dolan
Director
As an early childhood educator, I have a deep commitment to the field and
implementation of best practices. I strongly believe in creating a community in
which children and adults experience a connection and children are free to
explore and thrive. It is my mission to instill a love for learning in all children. I
am grateful to be a part of the UCUC Preschool community. Thank you for
sharing your child with us and creating this partnership with us.

M.S. in Child and Family Development at San Diego State University
B.A. in Psychology at San Diego State University

Specialist Experience:
3 years of experience working in preschool administration and teacher
mentoring. 10 years’ experience working in the field of early childhood education. Previous lead teaching experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool age
children.
Hobbies/Interest/Enjoys:
I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, gardening, reading, cooking, and doing yoga and pilates. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with all of the children, families, and staff at UCUC Preschool and look forward to a great year together!

Interests/Hobbies/Enjoys:
Kendra and her husband Rich are the proud parents to a son, Kaden and a daughter, Kaci. Kendra enjoys taking classes, reading, singing, music, dance, art, crocheting and baking. She is very excited to join UCUC and is looking forward to meeting the families and children in our program.

Experience:
4 years in nursery schools in Peru working with toddlers and preschool kids
10 years of Preschool teaching at the International School of Lima - Peru
2 years as a Pre-k teacher in a Montessori preschool in Iowa City.
Interest/ Hobbies/ Enjoys:
I love traveling to exciting places with my husband, reading, listening to podcasts, dancing, jigsaw puzzles and Scrapbooking
My husband and I just moved to California, so we enjoy exploring beaches and restaurants during the weekends.

I love to see each child’s growth as an individual and make them happy. I grew up in Paris, and
moved to San Diego 3 years ago. I came by myself to live my dream and become a French and
ESL (English second language) professor in College or University. I’m thrilled to start my
Bachelor this fall in SDSU and pursue with my Master and then Ph.D. I will explore a lot of art
activities and learning new languages with the children since I speak 4 languages (French,
English, Spanish and Farsi). Currently, I live in Carlsbad. I enjoy traveling, watching movies,
going to the gym and spending time facetiming my parents.

Just moved to San Diego from the DC area about a year ago. I've loved taking advantage of exploring the outdoors with this all year round beautiful weather. I especially love to hike, relax at the beach, and bike around town. I'm an avid cookie baker, but I rarely eat them. Also on my down time, I enjoy health and fitness, reading, listening to music, playing sports, and spending time with friends/family. I'm thrilled to join the UCUC Preschool community. Three years of experience working with children 18 months and up to 5 years old in the child development center.
Worked for Mira Costa College summer program College for Kids for the past three summers.
Interest/ Hobbies/ Enjoys:
I enjoy the outdoors such as hiking, camping, swimming, traveling and going to the beach. During my free time, I love to bake and watch movie marathons such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Marvel to name a few.
